Are you feeling depressed?

Are you feeling depressed? Are you feeling lonely? Do you feel that all hope is gone? Is it easier to lay in bed than to actually get out of bed? Are you afraid to face the day because of all the negativity of the world? I know how you feel! There are many times, I too, don't feel like getting out of bed. There are many time that it just doesn't seem worth it. Everything seems like it's not working out the way I want it to. And then, I think of the verse in the Bible that gets me going and up out of bed. 1 John 4:4! Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world! Greater is he that is in me (Jesus Christ) than he that is in the world (Satan).

By laying in bed can I prove how great Christ is? Absolutely not! So get out of bed, get active and let Christ prove himself to you! Let him take your life and mold it into something great! Because you are a child of God. A brother or sister of Christ. And he died for you and your sins. He who was sinless became sin. One day, every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Buddha, Mohamed, Gandhi, yes, even Charles Manson will proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord! Hallelujah, what a day! Thank God today for Jesus and his power over sin and Satan! Thank you God!!

Today I'm Thankful for

How are my goal coming and NLP.

Well,

I was able to get some of my goals accomplished today and others I fell way short. That being said, I at least have them written down, so to speak. I put them together in Microsoft Word so they weren't actually written down. They were typed down. But now that I have them on paper I can refer to them a couple times a day. I'm going to try to say them out loud in the morning and in the evening.

I also started reading a book called, "NLP, The New Technology of Achievement". This seems like some interesting reading and I'm looking forward to getting through this book and applying it. NLP is just plain crazy! For those of you don't know NLP stands for Neuro-Linguistic Programming. Search for it on YouTube!

Speaking of YouTube, here's a video I just posted for WANR 1570.

Today I'm Thankful for

  1. My Kids
  2. My Aunts and Uncles
  3. My Brothers and Sisters
  4. My Parents

Goals are done.

OK so I just finished my goals. I did them tonight so I'm a little behind on when I said I was going to do them and when I actually did but they are now done. That was the hard part. Now I just need to read them about 10 times a day and believe them and you should notice a change in my life. Just so you know, one of the goals was to post something in this blog page daily so keep an eye out and make sure I'm keeping up.

I'm pretty sure some days there's just going to be ramblings and other days some pretty solid stuff. Anyway, I set my goals up as Personal, Business, Entertainment and Spiritual. I suggest everyone out there give it a shot and see if your life doesn't change because of it. I know mine will.

Well it's late and one of my goals was to get to bed at 11:00pm everyday so, Good night!

Today I'm thankful for:

  1. Leaders
  2. Clients
  3. Coworkers
  4. My Job
  5. Pets

Goal Setting.

This is one of my major faults. Goal Setting. I don't think I've ever followed what I need to for goal setting. Sometimes I'll write down my goals. Maybe a goal in a distance away. But never set up steps to reach my goal. So here is what I'm going to do. Today I'm going to make a commitment to set my goals for by Sunday night in personal, spiritual, business and recreational. Not only am I going to set my goals but I am going to set steps on how to reach them. We will see what happens. But I do believe we have to ask and believe that we have received it and we will get what we asked for. The Bible says it and I do believe it's true. So pray for me and my goal setting this weekend.

Today I'm thankful for
  1. Money (hey, it pays the bills)
  2. My car
  3. My dogs
  4. My boss (he's a great guy)
  5. AutoTrader.com

The Republican National Convention

I've been watching the Republican National Convention and the speeches have been very good. Sarah Palin and John McCain had great speeches and if they run the country half as good as their speeches were, I think we'll do just fine these next 4 years, that is, if they win. I'm sorry to say that I don't understand a Christian that votes as a democrat. It doesn't make much sense to me.

Also, I just updated my mentalist website with pictures. The website is http://www.mental-acrobatics.com/ . Here's a sample of the pictures on the site.

OK so I didn't use this picture but I wanted to. Sue didn't like it. But you can go to my website and see what pictures I did use. Hopefully, this will help me get many more bookings.

Today I'm Thankful for:

  1. Jesus
  2. God
  3. Talents
  4. Dedication
  5. Persistence

Today is the First Day....

Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I didn't start it out with Total but I did decide today to take my future into my own hands. God is good all the time but I don't think he expects us to just sit back and wait for him to guide us. If there is one thing I've learned in my life, it is the fact that life happens, God provides and guides.

I think the best way to explain what I am talking about is this. Our life is like a boat. Now if you grab a hold of the steering wheel of a boat and turn it to the left or the right then that is the exact direction that the boat will go. Because when you turn the wheel, the boat is designed to go in that direction. But when can you turn the wheel of a boat and it doesn't go in that direction? AH, when it is tied to the pier sitting idly. You see, I believe our lives are like that. If we are just sitting there waiting for God to show us the way he can't steer us because we are not moving.

Let's look at some of the leaders of the Bible and see how many of them sat waiting for God's will. Let's start with Moses. Was he just sitting there one day when he saw the burning bush? Let see what God's word says "Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed." Looks like he was busy at work. Doesn't look like he was sitting around saying, "God, what am I supposed to do." And how about Peter and Andrew. Were they just sitting around waiting when Jesus called them. Let's, again, turn to the word "Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men." Oh dear, they were working too. And even Paul, on the road to Damascus, was working when Jesus called him. And Paul was doing the opposite of what God wanted him to do at the time.

All I'm saying is, keep working, keep striving, fight the good fight and God will guide. Be lazy, sit around, do nothing and God won't guide you until you DO SOMETHING. I know that great things are in store for me and my family in the near future but the only way I'm going to find out what they are is by doing the job that God gave me and use the talents that he gave me. Pray for me as I also pray for you to do your job to the best of your ability and God will guide you.

Today I'm Thankful for
  1. God's saving grace
  2. My pool
  3. My wife
  4. My children
  5. My job
