Opening Day and More!

Yes, Monday was opening day for the Cleveland Indians and it was a great time to be a Tribe fan. No snow this year which was awesome! If you remember, last year, the game was cancelled because of snow. Sue, Breanne, Mark and I went to the game and we had great seats in the upper deck just right of home plate. And boy, what a game it was. CC gave up a 2 run home run to Jim Thome (BOOOOOO!!) in the first inning. But at the bottom of the 2nd the Tribe scored 7 runs. The White Sox picked their way back only to have the Indians own, Casey Blake, hit a bases clearing double in the bottom of the 8th to go up 10-7. The final was 10-8 and a lot of excitement happened. Did I mention I love Cleveland sports? We may not have won a major championship in a while but it's never boring!

Please pray for me and my family as we go through some struggles right now. Many things are going on and I'm sure, God is working in our lives and these are just tests for us. Praise God for his many blessings!

Today in Church

Today in church I had the opportunity to preach for Pastor Gary as he was in Mississippi at a revival. It was a great service and I enjoyed the chance to bring God's message. This Sunday I talked about worry. My scripture was Matthew 6:25-34. It was awesome to watch the Lord put this sermon together for me and I enjoyed bringing the message. I hope that it touched many hearts. I will have a link posted, hopefully tomorrow, with my notes and the PowerPoint I used. God is good all the time. Continue to pray for me and my family as we seek God's will in our lives.

Things I'm Thankful for Today

  1. God's Salvation
  2. My Family
  3. My Church
  4. Cleveland Sports (believe it or not)
  5. My Job

Hello, is anybody reading this?

Hello All,

Just wanted to make a post to all people that are reading my blog. Haven't been keeping up with my blog lately because of all the activity going on. ATC has been really busy and I'm working on a lot more as well. Right now I'm getting ready to promote my "Exposing Psychics" show which is really going to be exciting as well as a challenge. I am working on a lot of new tricks as well as some new vent work. You can check out my updates on my website at http://www.thefamilyvent.com/

Tomorrow I am going to do close-up magic at a Texas Hold Em Tournament in Columbus, Ohio for the OIADA. This is going to be a lot of fun because after my show I get to participate in the tournament. I love Hold Em!

Also already have some bookings for the summer months for ventriloquism so that is going to be fun! Hope to make it to one of the conventions this year. Would love to have Sue go with me and help get some information that might help my business out. She is a lot better as far as business is concerned. She is very organized and efficient!

I also just did a show for the Eastwood Mall Captain McFinn's Club which was loads of fun! I hope to do some more in the near future. I'm hoping to have pictures posted here soon. Also, you may see some words highlighted in my blog. Interesting thing that Amazon has now. You can select words and when someone clicks on them, it gives you products on Amazon about those particular words. For example Electric Light Orchestra, Harry Houdini, Jeff Dunham and Tony Evans. Click on any of these words and it will take you to Amazon with products about them. Pretty cool if I do say so myself. Of course, one of my favorite for you to click on would be Bruce Lee!

What's been going on?

Well, a few things. A friend of mine opened a magic shop in the middle of the Eastwood Mall. It is a great place to be and I really expect him to be successful there. I have been helping him out by demoing a few of the magic tricks there. It is a lot of fun!

Autotrader.com is plugging right along but working in the Mahoning Valley really is frustrating. Many negative people and I have dealerships cancelling on me for no good reason. Here's just one example. I get together with a dealer, take him out to lunch, go over Autotrader.com with him, his GM, his internet manager and 2 days later, he sends me a letter of cancellation. He never even hinted that he was unsatisfied with the results or activity that he was getting.

2 weeks ago I preached at my church. It went well thanks to God's guidance. I actually had a sweet lady, Artie Harper, come up to me this week and tell me that it was very good and it's something I should have been doing for a long time. It made me think.

Oh, also, my brother Gregg is now at a radio station every day from 6:00am to 10:00am. It is the Warren, Ohio station WANR and you can hear him live by going to his station on the internet http://www.wanr1570.com/ .

Got a new W.T. and bird arm illusion coming this week and I'm really working on an adult routine (not that type of adult routine!) that talks about and exposes so called psychics and fakes that take peoples money with card readings and the like. I want to put together a 3 day show for churches. Friday night, "Exposing Psychics", Saturday night "Family night with Fuzzball, Gill and the gang!" and Sunday morning sermon. Please pray for me as I ask God to lead me in the right direction! This is were I feel he is leading me. I really think, to add to the psychic routine I'm going to need a light show and fog machines and such. That's not going to be cheep!

Please pray for me, my family including Sue, Breanne and Andrew. Please pray that we follow God's will in our lives. Have a Merry Christmas.

What direction am I headed?

I'm sure you all ask yourself this same question all the time. "Am I headed in the direction God wants me to go?" I have been asking myself this question for the longest time and I still continue to ask it. I don't know what direction God has in my life or in my families life. I get so frustrated and wish he would just smack me in the face with it. What does he want me to do? Where does he want me to go? Am I doing what he wants me to do right now?

So many questions and yet, I don't seem to get an answer. Maybe I'm not listening. Please pray for me and my family that we may find the answer to these questions! Thank you.

More on John Edwards (Crossing Over)

First and foremost, people want to believe. That being said, John Edwards is probabally the worst I've ever seen. It is amazing as I sit here and watch this guy how he ropes these people right in. I watched the end of one of his shows where he was talking to Vanessa Williams about her father. Now, if I was having a reading with Vanessa I would have said something like this. "I'm getting the letter M, do you know someone that has passed fairly recently, maybe a male that has like an M at the beginning and an N at the end of his name?" She would sit there shocked, her Fathers name was Milton. I would continue, "I'm seeing a pain, like an abdominal pain, maybe like a pancreatic pain or something." She would again be amazed, I was right, he died from a pancreatic infection. I would again continue, " I'm seeing musical notes, he's talking to me about teaching and how he loved to teach. Was he a music teacher?" WOW! 3 for 3! Now the clencher, "You and your brother Chris were there when he passed weren't you? He says he was really comforted because of that!" My goodness, I am amazing. I could have probabally paid my bills for a year with all the information I just gave them. Now all I need to do is give them some comforting messages from their father and take a stab at a few thing and I'm gold!
Now, John Edwards didn't even do that good. As a matter of fact he pretty much just did a cold reading with them. Took a stab here and a stab there. The thing is, if I was in his line of deception and was going to talk to Vanessa Williams, I would do my research. As a matter of fact, I got all the information about Vanessa's father from this website http://www.thecrusade.net/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=3&t=18551 and it was posted 3 days after her fathers death! I am now watching another episode and he asked his all too famous question ,"Is someone in you family a police officer?" Next, "Are they still with us?" He finally got the woman to key in on her husbands mother that reciently passed away and mentioned a rolling pin. And the womans son said ,"You had just done some baking with her at Christmas before she passed." It is all to amazing how the people volunteer the information after just a few stabs at something.
Let's quit believing in this nonsense. I get more frustrated everytime I watch it! Honestly folks, you can't, nore can anyone, talk to the dead! That's enough for now. Thanks for listening.

What's up with the Yout today?

So I'm sitting here at Chili's filling out some paperwork when a girl comes in to fill out an employment application. I hear her say to the hostess, "I don't know my social security number". Now, who in their right mind would go to fill out an employment application without knowing (or at least carrying) their ss number. It just amazes me. why in the world wouldn't you have your social security card if you don't have the number memorized?
Kids today! They just amaze me. Either their parents haven't prepared them for real life or, well, I don't know what else it could be. It just doesn't make any sense to me at all. I'm going to apply for a job but I'm not going to bring all the information I need to fill out an employment application. I don't know, maybe I'm old fashion but help me out here. Why in the world would you go to fill out an application for a job and not bring everything you need to do it? Oh well, maybe it was the first time she filled out an application. Yeah, that's it, she never filled out an application before and she didn't know what she needed. I'll stand by that so I don't go totally insane!
